Reading
Struggling readers can often be overgeneralized and overlooked. I believe that everyone should have the tools to be able to read in order to have a higher quality of life! Reading allows us to broaden our perspectives beyond our own experiences. However, if a student hasn’t developed a foundational tool for reading, he or she can often have fewer opportunities throughout life.

Writing
Writing is one of many mediums one may use to express him or herself academically or creatively. Many young learners dislike writing because of the assignments associated with writing; therefore, we strive to find a reason for every student to enjoy writing even if only on their own time. Writing is a necessary skill to have in a multitude of career paths; thus, it is important to know how to write well.
Writing abilities to assess and address: spelling, grammar, sentence structure, creating paragraphs and essays, professionalism, among many others.
